Toonopolis is a 24-hour cable and satellite television network airing feature length animated films and made-for-television series, computer graphics animation (CG) and Japanese anime. The network was formed in 1994 to be a direct competitor to Turner's Cartoon Network and Viacom's Nickelodeon. As a fully-funded network, it is operated by ABN Group and ABN Entertainment.
The demographics cover five groups including pre-school (1 to 3 years), pre-teens (7 to 12 years), teens (13 to 17), young adult (18 to 24 years) and mature adult (25 to 35).
Programming blocks

Toonopolis Toons at Daybreak
Toonopolis Toons at Daybreak is the early morning programming block beginning at 6 AM weekdays. Programming in this time slot usually covers the pre-school to pre-teen demographics ages 12 months to 12 years. Viewership of this time slot peaked during the pandemic period between 2020 to 2021.
Midday Bonanza
Midday Bonanza is the midday programming block beginning at 11 AM weekdays. Programming in this time slot covers the young teens to young adult demographics between ages 13 to 24. Viewership dipped slightly in the pandemic period in 2020, but gained momentum in 2022.
Powerime
The action cartoon block, Powerime (a portmanteau of "power" and "anime" with the variety of Western action animation and Japanese anime) covers ages 14–23. Powerime in its early days competed against Cartoon Network's Toonami program block between the 4 to 7 PM time slots. The original block was signed off in 2008, then signed back on in 2012 as part of the current Adult Swim block, a direct competitive late-night block to Midnight X. In 2018, Powerime gained an additional two hours making the current start time 2 PM instead of 4 PM. Viewership in this time slot peaked the most during the pandemic period between Summer 2020 to Winter 2021. The Powerime Rising Sun weekend block covers the 6 AM to 9 AM time slots on Saturday mornings as a companion to Toonopolis Super Saturdays, a dedicated 7 AM to 11 AM Saturday morning block that is carried over ABN Group affiliates.
PrymeTyme Toons
PrymeTyme Toons is the weeknight programming block covering ages 16-35. The block begins at 6 PM compared to the competitors that begin their primetime programming at 7 PM. Viewership remained nearly the same during the pandemic period before peaking near the beginning of the 2022 season.
Midnight X
Midnight X, a late-night to overnight program block, covers ages 21–35. The programming in this time slot features mature themes. Midnight X begins at 11 PM and finishes at 6 AM the following broadcast day Mondays thru Fridays. The Midnight X Weekend Mix covers the 9 PM to 12 AM time slot on Saturdays and Sundays. Viewership declined slightly at the beginning of the pandemic period. As newer programs were added, viewership peaked in the summer of 2022.
Most of the programming are produced by ABN Entertainment. There are others that are produced by third-party production companies with agreements made with ABN Group to distribute their works.

Barbie Mania! - a marathon of select Barbie franchise films and TV series in honor of its 65th Anniversary thoughout March during the daytime and Toonopolis Super Saturday/Toonopolis Rising Sun time slots.
Super Mar10 Day - a marathon every March 10th of animated TV series and films celebrating the Mario franchise, including the 2023 film The Super Mario Bros. Toonsgiving Marathon - a marathon of Thanksgiving themed shows throughout the month of November
A Holly, Jolly Toonsmas - a marathon of Christmas themed shows throughout the month of December
Toonopolis New Years Super Weekend - a marathon of 31 different shows from the 2024 season in rotation throughout New Years weekend leading up to the one-hour simulcast of ABN First Night America 2025 New Years Eve at 11:00 PM Eastern.
New sub-channel announced for Fall 2023
To help free up airtime for programs currently under the Midnight X block, ABN Group and Toonopolis have announced that these programs will be ushered into a new sub-channel, ToonMaxx, beginning in Fall of 2023. All programming under the current Toonopolis Midnight X time slot will carry over to more common viewing times starting September 22, 2023. The Midnight X Weekend Mix will still air at the normal times of 9 PM to 12 AM on Saturdays and Sundays along with network exclusive specials and the Toonopolis Super Saturdays/Rising Sun time slots. As normal for mobile app users, all Midnight X programs can be viewable at any time on the ABN Mobile App under the Toonopolis section.
