KST-TV is the Fox-owned-and-operated station that serves the Seattle, WA area. It broadcasts on channel 6 and is owned by Fox Television Stations subsidiary of 21st Century Fox, as part of a duopoly with MyNetworkTV owned-and-operated station KIGB (channel 43). KST is the primary station for the Seattle Seahawks airing coaches shows, regular season games, and playoff games if they get that far.

History[]

KST-TV began in 1959 as an Independent station, along with rival KCV-TV. In 1970 KST-TV launched a newscast as NewsScene 6, but falling behind other independent stations. In 1975 KST's Newschannel 6 was the 4th best newscast in 75-76 season.1986, the station became a Fox affiliate and remains the Fox affiliate today.
