KSAP is the CBS affiliated television station located in Portland, Oregon. The station is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, as part of a duopoly with UniMás affiliated station KPTE (channel 23); Sinclair also operates Lake Oswego, Oregon-licensed Univision affiliate KUNN-DT (channel 26), under a local marketing agreement with owner Cunningham Broadcasting. However, Sinclair effectively owns KUNN-DT as the majority of Cunningham's stock is owned by the family of deceased group founder Julian Smith.

Syndicated programs include: Dr. Phil, Jeopardy, Rachael Ray, Inside Edition and Criminal Minds.

KSAP was previously a CBS-owned station until October 23, 2017 when CBS Corporation put the station up for sale, along with New York City based WLIN and San Antonio based KEWT. On December 22, 2017, KSAP was traded in exchange for NBC-owned KTCC in Kansas City, Missouri. NBCUniversal in turn sold KSAP to Sinclair Broadcast Group, owners of KUNN-DT and KPTE. It is expected that Sinclair will sell either one of these 3 stations to one of their affiliated companies (Cunningham Broadcasting or Deerfield Media) in order to comply with FCC regulations regarding station ownership, which will allow them to legally operate all 3 stations.

Sinclair later announced that they would be selling its Univision-affiliated station KUNN-DT (channel 26) to Cunningham Broadcasting but will continue to operate KUNN-DT under a local marketing agreement. The deal was finalized on December 29, 2017.
