WMAI is the ABC affiliate that serves the Cabot Cove, ME area. It broadcasts on channel 7. Syndicated programming on WMAI includes: Live with Kelly and Ryan, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy!, and Dr. Phil among others. The station was owned by Krueger Broadcasting along with former sister stations WCCM and WMQX. Krueger sold the station to DeFontes Broadcasting Corporation on June 25, 2016. DeFontes announced they were exiting broadcasting and sold WMAI along with a few other stations to the Fortner Digital Media Properties in 2017.
