KAKT is a Channel America affiliate serving Portland, Oregon and it's surrounding areas. Broadcasting on channel 30, KAKT was owned and operated by Journal Media Group. On Feb. 25, 2017, Journal Media announced that they've sold the station to Tribune Broadcasting, who, then announced that KAKT will be an independent following KTV's shutdown. The next day, KAKT became an affiliate of Channel America.
