KNBZ-TV is The National Television station for the Arkansas River Valley and Northwest Arkansas. Licensed in Fort Smith, Arkansas, The station broadcasts on channel 39 and is owned by WTNYCorporation. Originally the station was known as KCAR-TV and it was owned by MFW Communications until 1986 and the Gannett Company until 2009.

It offers 8.5 hours of news each weekday (5am-9am, 11am-12pm, 4pm-5:30pm, 6pm-6:30pm, 9pm-10:30pm) and 6.5 hours of news every weekend (6am-9am, 12pm-1pm, 5pm-5:30pm, 6pm-6:30pm, 9pm-10:30pm)
