RKO National News is the flagship daily evening program of RKO News, the news division of the RKO Holdings and is broadcasted by RKO Network, RKO News and MSNRKO. Currently, the weekday editions are anchored by Piers Morgan and the weekend editions are anchored by Sarah Silverman. The program has been anchored at various times by a number of other people since its debut in 1935. It also has used various titles, including RKO News at Night from 1965 to 1985 and RKO Nightly News from 1985 to 1997.
Announcer
Andrew Richards handled the announcing duties for the newscast until his retirement in 1985. The next announcer for the program was long-time RKO Network staff announcer Patrick Williams. He retired to Miami in 2005. On March 20, 2005, the weeknight broadcast introduced an opening by the journalist Mort Goldman.
