The Sunshine Network is an American regional sports network that is owned as a joint venture between Adelphia Communications Corporation and ONE Media Corporation.The channel broadcasts local coverage of professional, collegiate and sporting events in the state of Florida, with a focus on professional sports teams based in Miami, Tampa and Orlando. The Sunshine Network is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Sunshine Network is available on cable providers throughout Florida.

History[]

The Sunshine Network was a part of Victory Sports Networks (a group of regional sports networks owned and operated by ONE Media Corporation) as Victory Sports Florida when the regional networks were launched on Jan. 1, 2015. On June 3, 2015, ONE Media and Adelphia entered into a partnership turning over some of their regional networks under the Victory Sports Network to be under both their control. On Aug. 3, 2015, Victory Sports Florida became the Sunshine Network

Programming[]

The Sunshine Network holds broadcasting rights to the Miami Marlins of MLB, the Florida Panthers of the NHL, the Orlando Magic of the NBA, Orlando City SC of MLS, and the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL.

Through its continued programming affiliation with Victory Sports Networks, The Sunshine Network also carries college sports events from the Atlantic Sun, American, Conference USA, and Sun Belt athletic conferences.

They had broadcasting rights to the Miami Heat until the rights went to QTV affiliate WMTV. The broadcasting rights to the Tampa Bay Rays remains undecided with the possibility of either going to QTV affiliate WTMA or the MLB Network at the beginning of the year.
