...I destroyed Windows 10 on my Dell Inspiron laptop!

In seriousness, the hard drive is borked so I can't boot it up anymore. One minute I'm modifying a file, then I try to save it, then I get a sharing violation error which pissed me off to the point of bashing the hard drive to death. -_- Stupid me, IKR? I'm now limited to a very old school Compaq desktop running XP which is not very WiFi or ethernet friendly due to its low memory (1 gigabyte in all) and limited processing speed with the ATI Radeon inside. So, obviously no internet for the old dog, but it still boots up, granted it's past expiration, not that I can put Windows 10 on the Compaq desktop anyway, I mean, it's not even meant to run it, so at that point, it's not upgradable. Ironically, it has Kingsoft WPS Office 2014, which still used the old Microsoft Office 1997-2003 Word Art formats so I can use that again. I've had that laying in storage for over a couple of years until the untimely crash of my laptop. Also, I am strapped to my library card and one hour of internet usage so I won't be on Discord for quite an indefinite period of time which means I'm not able to kick or assign anyone.

I have some options to explore, chief among those is Linux. The next obvious one is a Chromebook which is just an Android based laptop, or, try to have the dadgum Dell removed of its dead drive, and implanted with a new one, but with no operating system since it would run over $250 to do so.

In essence, I am not totally OOA (out of action), but at the same time, I'm strapped.

That's it for me at this point. I'll keep you posted as soon as I found a solution to this nuisance.

BTW, lookup "Vinesauce Joel Windows destruction" in case you didn't get the drift in the title.
