WHKU is the NBC owned-and-operated television station station that serves the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania broadcast area. It broadcasts on Channel 7 and is owned by the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations subsidiary of NBCUniversal. On April 22, 2017, Kenny Broadcasting sold WHKU to NBCUniversal, thus making WHKU the 3rd major O&O station in Pittsburgh behind Fox affiliate WDHF (channel 10) and CBS affiliate WHOF (channel 13)
