WMIA is the ABC affiliate that serves the Miami/Fort Lauderdale, FL area. It broadcasts on channel 69 via analog and digital channel 58.
On Sept. 9, 2017, Disney/ABC purchased WMTV from QTV, Inc., with plans of moving up to WMTV's channel number of channel 17. After the deal went though, Disney/ABC announced that WMIA would be moving to channel 17, and WMTV will be moving down to channel 69.
