KSSA is the Telemundo owned-and-operated television station serving the San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, and all of the Northern California Bay Area. The station broadcasts on channel 44 and is owned by the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations subsidiary of NBCUniversal.

History[]

KSSA signed on in 1992 as WSSA, in honor of the Philippines' 94th year of Independent from the Spaniards.

Until June 2017, WSSA served as a multilingual superstation with programs in English, Spanish, and Filipino.

In Late June 2017, WSSA was sold to NBCUniversal and was converted to a Telemundo O&O.

On October 17, 2017, WSSA changed call letters from WSSA to KSSA.
